I saw a Ford Focus Coupe yesterday, it looked like a SES trim.
I don’t remember the last time I saw a Focus coupe. I see sedans of this generation all the time, but not coupes. I think the coupe has aged very well.

So this is why some Americans are calling for a coupe

I’d want four doors, but FoMoCo has had some nice-looking cars in recent years.

Nah man it’s a coop for our chickens. That’s what we want.

They didn’t make a hatch in north america for the Mk2 though.

I see one like this, but silver, around town regularly. For some reason I actually like it.

More specifically, we never got the real mk2 in the US, just a facelifted mk1. The global 2nd gen Focus didn’t even have the coupe option, though it did have a stunningly awkward retractable hardtop convertible model:

I always think these are quite good looking when i see them.

The SES trim actually makes these Focuses look pretty good. I love the little spoiler on the back window. I almost bought one once, same red as that, with black leather interior, and a manual trans. I was very surprised by how much I liked it.

These did share a platform with the Volvo S40/C30/C70 right? If that’s the case it makes sense that it got a convertible as well. Also thT is a weird place for an antenna on a convertible, I know the Focus has it there too, but it look odd as heck. My moms first gen Focus wagon had on there, I remember she got a little smiley face thing to put on her antenna, and she had to take it off because it would bang on the roof when the car got up to speed.

Yes, also the Mazda3.
I like the look of the mk2 a lot, but the ‘vert just doesn’t seem to work.
Also, this was a cool commercial (and not at all the way Ford would market a small car in the US, if they marketed small cars at all):

the 2nd gen Focus that everyone else got was so much better. Of the north american ones, the SES coupe was definitely the best looking, but I remember going to Ireland in 2009 and seeing all the way better looking global Focuses, they made me jealous.
